Good-bye Summer Break

I had so much I wanted to say in this post. Like how sad I was to hear the news about Neil Armstrong passing. Talk about one giant loss for mankind. And then there was my childhood favorite, Jerry Nelson, Count von Count of ‘Sesame Street. So many great memories back then of much simpler time when responsibility was a foreign word to me. Oh, to be a kid again.

Wait! What do you mean Summers over? LOL

But I totally ran out of steam last night. First day of school here today. Kids dragging their feet as they walked out the door. Mom smiling, but trying not to act too excited. I have to say, this seemed like one of the longest summers I can remember. I really enjoyed the time with the kids and the word “bored” didn’t even come up once. Probably because with me off my feet they knew there was plenty to do and kept themselves busy so they wouldn’t have to suffer the consequences. LOL

I’m a bit sad we didn’t get to travel much due to me being off my feet and us selling our camper, but staying close to home wasn’t that bad. We accomplished the important things. Like our oldest daughter making that all too important decision about which college she wants to attend. Talk about a big load off my shoulders. And it’s not too far way! 🙂

I tried to focus on the trip we plan to take next summer to Yosemite National Park in celebration of her graduation. I still can’t believe this is her last year of high school.

New school year, new puppy, and new milestones. Man, I’m having to take way too many deep breaths lately.

Just for fun, if you watched Seseme Street, who was your favorite character?
