WOOHOO New Orleans!

I’ve NEVER been to New Orleans. NEVER. I’ve been fascinated by it since I read ‘Interview with the Vampire’ by Anne Rice. Then you delve into its history and WHOA I was hooked.

The first story I ever published was set in New Orleans.

Masque of Desire deals with a ghost, voodoo and a curse. It’s currently on sale too. 😉

New Orleans has been on my bucket list forever though and the fact that on the way down Leah & I pass through Nashville and on the way back we pass through Memphis (GRACELAND!) makes it even more awesome!  WOOT!

This is also my first Romantic Times Convention.

I’m kind of NERVOUS, but I’m really looking forward to it.

Today (Since I pre-wrote this post), I’ll be finally making it into the city *knock on wood*. I knock on wood because that causeway *shudders* Though I’m not doing the Pontchatrain Causeway. I’m opting for Slidell. You know there alligators in that water!!!!!!

Anyways, I’ll probably be dog tired, but also excited.

I’m looking forward to the food. I’ve been told to have Muffuletta, beignets, cafe au lait at the Cafe du Monde and seafood.

I’m looking forward to oysters.

I have to keep away from all gumbos and jambalaya though. Not good for my GERD. So I’ll make up for that in other choices. 🙂

If you’re at Romantic Times find me! I love meeting new people, but I can be terribly shy. Hard to believe, but it’s true. I’ll be at Club RT on Wednesday May 14 at 2:30 p.m. and of course at the GIANT book fair on Saturday signing books.

OH and I’ll also be walking beside Ellora’s Cave float throwing beads at people. I’ll try not to hit anyone in the eye. 😉

Next month I’ll share my pics!
