* This book is part of my personal library*

Window Rock, Arizona, is the last known location of Honor Roberts, who vanished when she was just thirteen. It was her only sanctuary from the Breed research that would surely have ended in her death—one such insidious experiment should, indeed, have killed her. That she lived is both a miracle—and a great mystery.

Stygian’s mission is to find Honor Roberts, no matter the cost. Now, with the help of Liza Johnson, assistant to the chief of the Navajo Nation, he is closer than ever to his goal. But will the discovery of Honor Roberts mean the destruction of the mating heat that has developed between Stygian and Liza?

The hunt for the three missing teens continues; the breeds must find them before the council soldiers or Gideon do. The search has led them to Window Rock, Arizona and with the help of Liza Johnson, they hope to uncover their identities. The Tribal Elders will do anything they can to keep the secrets of the past including lying to their own daughters.

Liza has had a happy life; she has been working for the chief and training to be a part of their underground breed recovery program. She may have a photographic memory but nightmares have been plaguing her years. She has learned to compartmentalize them and she never remembers them when she wakes up, that is until Stygian comes into her life. He makes her question her life and who she really is.

Stygian has been a loner for most of his life. He is a breed enforcer that works for Jonas and has been assigned to find Honor Roberts, no matter what the cost. He has been intrigued with Liza since he first spotted her and realized that she was his mate. Because Liza is hiding within herself, the mating heat is reacting different and doesn’t seem to be affecting her like it has other mates. Will Stygian lose his mate when the truth comes out?

Jonas will do anything to save his daughter and he hopes that Liza is the key. They run keep running into roadblocks at the Navajo Nation who are determined to protect the secret of what happened that night no long ago. The car wreck not only changed the lives of Liza and Claire but everyone else involved too. Now that Liza’s life is in danger, she has to come to terms with the nightmares and memories that have been plaguing her for years.

For me, their story helped progress the overall story and revealed some of the missing pieces but at times it seemed the story dragged along too. Honor’s story seemed to drag out a little more than it had too, I understand that it had to unfold a certain way but it just seemed to go on and on. I did enjoy the connection between Stygian and Liza and I felt bad for her as everything came out. I can’t imagine what all she was going through but she handled it well. I can’t wait to read the next one to see what else is revealed and if they find the other two missing people. I am waiting on them to find a cure for Amber too.

Overall Stygian’s Honor is another solid installment in the Breed series. I am ready for the next book. I give it 3½ Flaming Hearts.  3.5 Hearts
