Magda Hobbs’s job as ranch housekeeper—and its daily dose of cowboys—wreaked havoc on her libido. Especially one certain cowboy she couldn’t resist. Scared of going down the same path as her mother, Magda jumped on her motorcycle and hit the road.

Five months later, her father’s mild heart attack has forced her back to Whispering Springs. While she’s grateful for the cleaning job at one of the Montgomery ranch houses, she’s not so thrilled one of the cowboys she’s looking after is the one she fell for last spring.

Reno Montgomery’s parents hiring a housekeeper for him and his brother is a nice surprise, but he’s shocked to discover it’s Magda, the woman who up and left just when things were getting serious between them.

When a freak snowstorm cuts off the outside world, the isolation rekindles their desire. But when the weather and the roads clear, Reno has to work hard and fast to keep the woman of his dreams from accelerating right out of his life again.

Warning: Contains a woman born with a bad case of wanderlust, and a cowboy determined to show her that life’s a dance that doesn’t have to two-step her out of his life.

**Hotness Rating 3 out of 5**

Texas Bossa Nova is the 5th book of the Texas Montgomery Mavericks by Cynthia D’Alba and my all-time favorite. I love this series, so that’s saying a lot that this is my favorite! While all of the Montgomerys entertain me in so many ways Reno Montgomery and Magda Hobbs will always have a special place in my heart. Individually, they hold all of the character traits that I love most. Loyal, hardworking, genuine and only slightly flawed. Together, it only gets better. They compliment one another so well and seem to bring out only the best. And when this couple comes together sparks fly. You can feel the heat.

Magda Hobbs broke Reno Montgomery’s heart 5 months ago not that he’s shared that information with anyone. She just up and left. All Reno knows is that things were going great. The chemistry was there and it seemed everything was fine until it wasn’t anymore. Magda’s mom got swept in the whole faling in love with a cowboy thing and all it did was leave raising a baby all by herself, working her fingers to the bone until cancer took her away way too soon. She always swore she would never end up going down that same road that her mother did. So, when she started to see Reno as more than just a romp in the hay and started to feel like she was planting roots she bailed. Her motto is leave before they can leave you. But, when she gets the call that her dad, a dad she has only recently reunited with, has had a heart attack Magda comes rushing back.

Reno and his twin brother are doing everything they can to make their ranch a success. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to keep a ranch going and sometimes there are things that fall to the wayside. In their case it’s the housework. So, when their mom hires them a live-in housekeeper as part of their Christmas present it’s a God send. At least Darren thinks it is. Reno isn’t so sure. The housekeeper is none other than Magda Hobbs the woman that he can’t get over no matter how hard he’s tried.

This book really was so funny, sweet and sexy. I can not even find all of the right words to tell you how much I loved this book. Not only were the primary characters awesome to read, but the secondary characters were just as fun. I can not wait to read more on these characters.
