Oops…I knew today was my blog day. I’d seen the reminders, told myself to be thinking about a topic, and then I ….(insert lousy excuse here). Would you believe this blog was one of the first things to cross my mind before I got out of bed. As I lay there doing my “what’s a priority today” day review, I realized my goof early on. *Forehead slap*
So I’m a little late this morning and scrambling to get something in here that will be entertaining or useful.
So in the useful category here are to easy recipes to tempt you. One is light and Weight Watchers friendly (A consideration of mine since I’m back on WW trying to get back in shape.)
The other is probably less diet friendly, which likely won’t stop me from making it several times in the coming months…which is why I keep going back on WW. I love indulgences too much!
Next I bring you, single serve cake…
Mix 1 package Angel Food cake mix with any other flavor cake mix (I like chocolate!). Store in an airtight container in your pantry.
When the craving hits, just mix 3 tbsp. cake mix with 2 tbsp. water in a coffee mug, and microwave on high for 1 minute.
Serving Size: Makes 46 servings (3 tbsp. mix per serving)
2 WW points plus per serving
Okay, now that I’ve provided something useful (I hope) you need a good book to read as you sit back and enjoy your treats. Lucky you, the second book in my The Mansfield Brothers series from Harlequin Romantic Suspense is a June release! This means it is ACTUALLY on shelves starting in late May and can be ordered NOW from the eHarlequin.com website.
A woman in labor. A man on a mission. The Mansfield Brothers series continues…
All Brianna Coleman remembers of the near-fatal accident is the hero who saved her. Not her name or the father of the baby she delivers hours later. Until news of a coup in a foreign nation triggers a memory. Her baby’s father is the missing member of a royal family…and her son the next target.
After saving them, Hunter Mansfield won’t abandon them. But can he defend them against international assassins who pursue the newborn? He’ll do anything—pay the ultimate price if necessary—for one chance to protect the woman he loves and her little prince.
Yes, I shamelessly threw in every romance hook and trope I could squeeze into one book. Baby, check! Amnesia, check! Royalty, check! Woman in jeopardy, yep! Protector, sure! Fake marriage, uh-huh! Hot guy, check check! Kitchen sink…well, I’m sure there’s one in there somewhere. 🙂 Hunter was my favorite brother in this series to write, so I hope you’ll check him out.
I’m finishing up the last Mansfield Brothers book this week, and it will be released in late November. Then I’ll turn my attention to playing catch-up around my house. In light of that I as you this… do you have a simple recipe, a housecleaning short cut, or a make-life-easier tip to share?
