Time really does fly when you’re having fun.
It seems like only yesterday I decided to take a chance and see where my writing career would take me. The 2007 RWA Conference in Dallas was my first look into the wonderful world of writing and authors. And I loved every minute! Even though at times the numerous workshops and valuable information overwhelmed me as a newbie, I met so many awesome new friends along the way who helped me realize I wasn’t alone on this journey. One of those new friends was Keri Ford.
When Keri asked me to be a part of this new blog she was setting up called Everybody Needs a Little Romance, I jumped at the chance. Now as I look back, I can’t believe how many years have passed since that day, or how many posts I’ve written. Geesh…I had no idea I had that much to say. LOL
But like it or not, nothing stays the same. Time moves forward, kids grow up and life gets more complicated. With two daughters now in college and my son starting his sophomore year of high school, I’ve had to make some really tough decisions in order to keep my sanity. One of the hardest was to take a break from posting to this amazing blog. To say I will miss it is an understatement. These ladies here at ENALR are some of the sweetest, most encouraging and talented friends and writers in the business. And I feel so blessed to have gotten to know them over the years.
All I can say is thank goodness for social media. At least I can still feel connected in some way. So it’s not really good-bye. It’s just a leap in a different direction, or internet connection. A detour on this every winding path.
Thanks, ladies. For all the sharing and laughs, for cheering me on with your wonderful support and encouragement, and for lifting me up with great words of wisdom through it all. 🙂 I’ve enjoyed every minute!
Best wishes to you all!!
