If you love cowboys, sexy doctors, family drama, tears and laughter, then this contemporary romance is for you! Set over the summer at the base of the rugged Rocky Mountains in northern Montana, it’s a world away from Chicago; so far away in fact that Dr. Josh Stanton believes Mars would be more familiar.
There are cows and dogs, “outfits” and “prairie oysters”(Montana slang) and the locals have a great time educating Dr. Josh as well has having a bit of fun. he’s a total a fish out water and I had a lot of fun writing this book as well as a lot of tears.
Books can’t be written without help and I’d like to give a big shout-out to Everybody Needs A Little Romance’s Kari Lynn Dell who was so generous with her answers to my questions such as, “What wildflowers bloom in late summer?”(Bachelor Buttons) and “Can you confirm what Google told me?” M’WAH, Kari!
“The plot twists around medical emergencies, a second romance line involving Katrina’s brother, the troubles of a local youth, relationships between parents and children, and former lovers learning to be friends. All these elements contribute to the comfortable feeling of smalltown life. The witty conversations, family drama, and accurate (but never maudlin) descriptions of loss and grief will have the reader laughing out loud, wiping away tears, and eagerly awaiting future books.”
Read an excerpt here! Like all my four other single-title, contemporary romances, there’s a strong secondary story in the novel so you get two romances for the price of one!
Have you ever had a fish-out-of-water experience?
