Here’s the mail it never fails, it makes me wanna wag my tail. When it comes I wanna wail…MAAAAIIIILLLL!
I love getting mail that doesn’t require me to pay something. Things like Wednesday coupons, random things that give me free return mailing address labels make me happy, but it’s fun surprises that are the best! June has been a good mail month from me. I got two cool thing.
Yes. Two. As in one and one equals two. I don’t get a lot of overly cool things often. Could explain my fascination with it, but anyway. That’s getting off-topic.
First I got some junk looking mail and found $2 in it. Yep. $2. Said Neilson rating people would be calling me in a few days for a survey and to please accept this $2 to talk to them. Dude. They could have sent me 50 cents and I would have kicked back in the recliner with the phone. But it gets even better! Because when they called, it wasn’t for the survey. It was an offer to sign up for a survey that included a $30 thank you gift for completing a mailed booklet thingy of stuff I watch on TV.
Yes. I just banked $32 to tell someone what I watch on TV. Clearly these people have never heard of that free thingymabob called “Twitter”.
Then the other day, I get this!
Yes, yes, it came with a request to please blog about it, but request NOT NEEDED cause it’s MAIL. And we’ve already established my love for cool mail and love for money in the mail, but this is about free stuff in the mail?
First, I want to say, I love those shoes. (ZOMG, if I cross my fingers really hard, will these shoes appear in my mailbox?! OH SAY IT COULD BE TRUE!).
Second, have you heard about the new Cosmo Red-Hot Reads? This has floated around the writing world for several months now with submission calls and whatnot. I fear my country-bumpkin heroines aren’t fit to be tried in that fancy uptown world. Guess this means I get to read guilt-free (insert a big grin here).
This is the debut from the brand-new series and a little line from the back that I think is cute says In the cutthroat business world, one adage rules all: keep your enemies close and your ex-lovers closer…
Ah, yep. Time to shut this blog post down and take this sweet baby to bed with me.
Do you ever get any cool or fun or interesting mail?
While it sucks that you can’t read this, I do have a couple things you can read and one is free! Grab them before the 3rd in the series re-releases next month!
