When we first started talking about going to Disney it seemed like it would never get here. Now the trip is approaching and will be here before we know it. We have started thinking about all the things we need to do to get ready like what we need to pack, what will go in the carry on’s and has everything been booked at Disney.
Lilly has a countdown calendar and is counting down the days until we leave. She has never flown (neither have I) and is excited to get on the plane. She has been been telling everyone for months that we will be going to Disney. Her teachers have already been notified that she will miss a week of school (she just started Kindergarten this year).
Our princess will be having breakfast with the Princesses and with some of her favorite Disney Junior characters. She has already decided that she is going to wear her Belle dress when we go to Cinderella’s castle. She is excited that she is tall enough to ride the new Seven Dwarf’s mine train and Ariel’s grotto is a must but the most coveted Fast Pass we have is to meet Elsa and Anna at Magic Kingdom.
Best of all, Lilly is doing so well with her Cystic Fibrosis that her physician is allowing her to use a different device for her treatments and we don’t have to take her heavy vest machine and he is letting her skip her nebulizer for the week too. So now the lists are made, the dinner reservations confirmed and Fast Pass selections completed – all that is left is to pass the last little bit of time until it’s time to board the plane.
Any hints, tips or suggestions for things to do at Disney are welcome.
