Keri Ford Is Slacking
So, I’m more tired than I am awake for this post. Son has had a nasty cough that’s forced me on night duty to stay awake and make sure he doesn’t stop breathing in his sleep. Epic fun. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow for a checkup and I hope we’ll be on the downhill slide of this. So long as it doesn’t come back after we stop medicine. Again. *sigh*
So. This post is going to be random. Like, oh! New puppy picture! This is my new girl, Fluffy. Or you can just call her Fluff. (ignore my trash can). She’s about 8months now. We adopted, so we’re not just real sure what’s in her bloodlines. We were thinking some dobie and shepard mix. Now that she’s getting bigger, the vet is starting to see some cattle dog in her. still lots of shepard though. I just think she’s cute and her fur is soft like a stuffed animal–so easy to cuddle!
she follows me everywhere and if she loses track of me (cause I’m snuggled under a blanket with only my face showing, it’s funny to watch her check all my “normal” spots in the house. and she’s so excited when she finds me. She doesn’t care for men too much. she’s been with us a month now and still enjoys growling at the husband. I find it funny. He doesn’t.
And I got deets on my Carina book. Look for Never Stopped Loving You on December 2nd, 2013!
Oh look! Another puppy picture snuck in there! This is from the day I got her. You can tell in this photo and the more recent above how much bigger her face has gotten. She’s put on about 15lbs since she’s been in my care and she’s far more leggy now! :)
And finally, I have a recent new release!
It’s not every day a girl takes out the trash and is nearly run over for it, but that’s exactly what happens to Sara Livingston. Manager and waitress at a bar, Sara typically spends her days serving drinks and turning up the TV volume on the latest sport’s game, a job that is quite enough to make her mostly liked by all. When she’s dropped into a game of cat and mouse with a stalker, she has no idea who could be behind the wheel of the truck or why they want her flattened on the pavement.
With her private eye brother out of town, she’s relying on her brother’s coworker, Clark Russells, to keep her from eating asphalt.

That’s the best I got. What’s the best you got to show for today?

Congrats on the new and upcoming releases, but I really want to gawk at the puppy. She has such a sweet face! The eyebrows! My dogs are cattle dog muttlings. One looks like a miniature pit bull (Fudge), another a mini lab (Beauregard), but my furry best friend is the one who has all the black & tan markings of a Rottweiler (Bebe). And yes, they are all from the same litter. What can I say, their mama was a tramp. My Bebe is black and tan like Fluffy, but has long hair like her cattle dog mama. Love those fabulously expressive tan eyebrows.

Yes, I fear her mother was quite the tramp too. I had no idea several male dogs could make babies in one litter! I was told the brothers and sisters were all very different from one another. I love the expression she gives me. She so fun and she’s always right with me.

Miz Ford. It is very hard to convince folks that I ain’t you when you go about adopting dogs that are purt near identical to mine.
I think I’ve got my Friday post figured out now. Complete with pictures.

Congratulations on the new releases! And love the new puppy! She’s the same age as our puppy, but oh so much bigger! LOL Hope your son feels better soon. I think we’ve finally grown out of that stage, although we have to keep a rescue inhaler around just in case. No fun!

LOL I have to keep remind the kid that she’s just a puppy. he just gives me a look because our other dog is a terrier and can walk under her belly.
I feel so much more comfortable knowing when in a bind, I can use my inhaler on him. That’s what we did Saturday night and it saved us a trip to the ER to get his airways opened back up. I have a device thing now–so no more practicing at midnight of “1, 2, 3, *squirt* BREATHE!”

I wish I could write a blogpost at random and do so well, Keri. Your puppy is adorable. I hope your boy is better fast and you get some rest. I’d hardly call you a slacker . You’re a mom!

LOL I think since I preface that it’s going to be a pathetic post, everyone lowers the bar expectations
and thanks. it’s nearly 1pm and so far the school has called me to pick him up yet for coughing, so there’s some improvement!

God, that’s got to be scary. I hope you’re getting naps in during the day, and that he came home today feeling wayyy better.
But… *Fluffy*?! That’s what you name such a respectable-looking dog?!
Yay on release dates and new releases!

as often as I can! and he was much better today. I’m more concerned about Sunday or Monday. that’ll be a few days after we stopped this rounds of meds. I’m worried it’ll be right back.
but…I didn’t name her! the shelter named her Flossie, but we didn’t care for it. Son said no and said “her name is Fluffy”
and if it helps, I generally just call her Fluff. The vet nurse said the same, but after the vet inspected her skin, he said she was well named! she is a *very* fluffy dog.

So glad he’s doing better! Fingers crossed for the next few days…
Okay, the kid makes all the difference with a pet’s name. When we got Number Two a cat, her name at the shelter was Baby Girl. I *really* didn’t want to keep that, but she insisted. We all call her BG now, which stands more for Bad Girl than Baby Girl.
