It has been a journey
Yesterday, Carina Press published my second full-length novel. It’s also the first in a four-book series, and the my first attempt at a full length novel. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. To say I’m nervous would also be an understatement.
I’ve heard authors describe release day like letting your child out into the world, and I can vouch for the comparison, but it’s also more than that.
With each book, you release a little of yourself. It is the final product of days of furious writing, head-banging-against-the-keyboard frustration (sometimes literal) edits, edits and more edits. There have been tears, laughter, and most of all the joy of falling in love with places and characters.
All of these represented in a hundred thousand words or so. Pretty heady stuff.
So it is with much excitement and a little trepidation that offer up my newest work: Journey of Awakening.
