Promising attorney and heartthrob, Remy Allemande, needs to find a way to keep an environmental attorney out of the courtroom. At least until he can figure out why she wants to shut down Crawdaddy’s, an infamous bayou bordello. One look at the opposing counsel and Remy decides seduction is the only solution. Not only will that satisfy his client’s needs, it’ll take care of his own.
Cyn LeBlanc doesn’t really have a case. She just needs to shut down Crawdaddy’s long enough to see if her working girl cousin is being held there against her will. When she accepts a ride on a trapper’s pirogue, Cyn becomes trapped herself, in the arms of the sexiest man she’s ever seen. Remy ignites a fire in her body as well as her soul. They drink Sazerac and a hundred-proof seduction ensues.
But what will happen when she finds out he’s not some backwoods trapper? Will their battle in the courtroom spill over to the bedroom? And will the scales of justice balance or will she lose her heart?
Sazerac Seduction transports you to the bayous of New Orleans complete with a Cajun hunk. Remy Allemande is an attorney that is just as comfortable in the swamps as he is in a court room. He keeps a shack in the bayou for when he needs to decompress and get away.
Cyn LeBlanc is an environmental attorney that has returned to her hometown of New Orleans to look for her cousin. She has brought a lawsuit against Crawdaddy’s in the hopes of searching the empty place for her cousin, what she wasn’t expecting was Remy.
Remy is tasked with occupying Cyn and keeping her away from the court house for the trail. Crawdaddy’s is a local bordello that is legendary and he can’t allow her to shut it down. Only problem, he is enjoying his task too much and knows once she figures out who he really is she will never talk to him again.
With the help of Sazerac and lots of hot steamy sex, Remy thinks it’s safe to slip off to the court hearing until she walks in at the last minute. Remy has figured out that Cyn isn’t telling him everything and he is determined to find out why she is really there.
This story starts out all about seduction but ends up having more depth to it. I liked the turn it took and I really enjoyed the ending. The characters were likeable and it was fun seeing both sides of Remy, Cajun and corporate. The back story was given as needed for the story to make sense rather than overloading the reader with unnecessary details.
I definitely felt as if I was in the swamps along with Remy and Cyn, the author did an excellent job describing the background. The only thing I stumbled over was the use of “me” at the end at a lot of Remy’s sentences, it was a little distracting. I appreciate it on the other hand though because the author tried to keep the dialogue authentic to the area.
