I don’t know where you all live, but it’s getting pretty darn cold here in South Arkansas. I kept noticing today that I bumped the heat up over and over. I asked the hubby about the weather and it’s supposed to be back in the 30′s tonight. Geez that’s getting close to freezing temps. That’s about close enough to let water drip at night to keep the pipes from busting.
But I’m also excited about the cold. Now, it get’s cold ’round this time of year, no doubt, but I’ve had some plain old hot Thanksgivings here lately. I’m hoping for a cold Thanksgiving. I always put my Christmas Tree up the weekend following Thanksgiving and if it’s cold, I know that’ll really help put me in the mood. All that food seems to sit better on my stomach if it’s colder outside, too. After all, who wants to be stuffed full until you’ve opened your pants AND be hot? Not me.
And I want a cold Christmas. A white Christmas would be nice, but we don’t normally get that stuff until late January or so, if we even get it all. Yeah, I know, it sucks to be hauling packages outside to the car when it’s cold, but let’s face it-what do I care? I don’t do that anyway. The hubby’s got to be good for something.
Why else do I want it cold? To be honest, I have more winter clothes that fit that short-sleeves. What other reasons does a girl need?
And what else does cold weather and the holidays mean…It’s that much closer to announcing what’s in that bag up in the left corner and how you can get it! I had to wait on something to come in the mail and it finally did! If my iron plays nice (long story, tell you bout it later), I’ll let you in on some of the details this week or next!
So tell me about where you live? Are you getting dumped in snow? Warm enough to lay on the beach? Or somewhere in between. What kind of weather are you hoping for the holidays?
